Cool to hear about research backup on something that I've already been experiencing. Every time I put my feet in the sand on the beach I feel so much calmer. The physical connection with the earth adds another layer of connecting to nature. 🌿

Something unique to read about finally! For someone who likes walking barefoot, I'm glad to have found some scientific reasoning and I'll definitely use them as an excuse. Also loved the sources you mentioned in the footnotes, it's kinda rare on here, I guess.

I've been carrying out research in academia since I was 21, and I've been taught that we need to reference everything πŸ˜‚. But I also do this in case someone wants to delve deeper into a topic and read more on a specific study, as I know I appreciate it when that info is available!

I totally agree with you! Nothing beats research and proof. I write about statistics and other random stuff in my newsletter, so I use footnotes a lot and it really was the first time I read a post where I saw some footnotes πŸ˜‚. Kudos!

Ah will check it out, I do loads of stats in my research!

I didn't know about them at the start until I saw another posts using it, and as there is no superscript in the formatting section I was just writing (source) and hyperlinking it πŸ˜…
