I bought a white noise machine from the baby section at Walmart a few months ago and I love it. I dont necessarily know if it helps me fall asleep quicker, but I stay asleep and definitely feel like I’m getting a deeper sleep. And if I do wake up, it’s usually pretty easy for me to fall right back asleep.

This is random, but another thing that helps me fall asleep in watching Bob Ross’s The Joy of Painting. It is just so calming to watch. I swear I’m out in less than 10 minutes. I just set a sleep timer on my TV for like an hour so it goes off on its own

Same here, I feel like my sleep is not as interrupted and don’t wake up during the night as much!

Haven’t seen Bob Ross in years! Might give it a go one day, as long as I don’t get distracted by wanting to see what he has created 😂

So interesting. I’ve had insomnia since childhood. I take melatonin, but extreme amounts, chamomile and honey too, and still it’s tough. The weirdest thing is even when I sleep very little and feel super tired I still can’t sleep unless I take all the stuff and have some noise of the air filter.

Have you tried magnesium? It helps with reducing the stress hormone cortisol which naturally inhibits the melatonin production in our body. Dairy is also good, such as a glass of warm milk, as it contains tryptophans (an amino acid that promotes sleep). But I know when it’s insomnia a bit of milk won’t suddenly cure it… It also could be if you work out very late that spikes your cortisol and messes up with your sleep cycle, I’m certain you’re managing your caffeine intake & screen exposure.

Yes, I take magnesium sometimes to aid, or spray on the feet, and have some kefir, I also workout only morning or around noon now, kinda learned to combine all the things during the years, but I do think screen is still a contributor since I write mostly at night
